It was a rare scene at the Federal Civil Service Club, Yaba at the weekend as Arsenal fans in Nigeria, Naija Gunners celebrated the London Club’s FA Cup triumph in style. 

The club house was filled with scores of fans clad in the famous Arsenal’s red jersey popping champagne and dancing to music blaring from big loudspeakers. 

The fans were so ecstatic even as they agreed one trophy in 9 years was long overdue for the London club.arsenal-fc “It is the beginning of good things to come in the coming seasons,” said Wole Olagundoye, President of Naija Gunners, in a chat with Sports Vanguard. Continuing, Olagundoye said, “Arsenal is the best team in the world. 

The only team that plays orgasmic football and it is a tradition that has been maintained for a long time.” The fans also lunched a logo which bears all the major features of the club’s original logo but with a touch of Nigerianness. 

Speaking on the logo which was designed by Charles Udoh, a member, Vice President of the fans club Samuel Chidoka said, “the logo typifies who we are, what we are and what we do.” 

The event attracted a lot of dignitaries, including immediate past President of the fan club, Emmanuel Ibru, chairman BOT, Godson Uti, a member of BOT, Ekpenyong Ene-Ita, among others.
